Traveling through LAX now means more Dining and Shopping Options

Wait times, and delays are often part of the deal when it comes to traveling. Luckily, with recent major reconstruction efforts, LAX is fast becoming a more user-friendly and trendy place to shop, dine and spend your time.

If you’re traveling internationally, the Tom Bradley terminal now boasts dining options any foodie would be proud to write about. Check out the Umami Burger (located once you get through security,) and enjoy a scrumptious gourmet burger and house-made ketchup/dips. For something a little lighter, head to Terminal 5 where Lemonade boasts a menu full of healthy choices, not to mention a delicious lineup of lemonades. For those early flights, you’ll need a caffeine and/or sugar boost. Not to worry, Dunkin Donuts will take care of both. It is housed at Terminal 4. For a complete list of restaurants and which terminal you can find them in, click here .

If you’re looking for last-minute gift to bring with you to your destination, you’ll find plenty. Among the well-known brand stores names, are Michael Kors, Fred Segal, Emporio Armani, Bvlgari, and Coach all in the Tom Bradley Great Hall, just before boarding an international flight. There are also smaller- boutique shops that sell everything from beads to spa/massage items (Bead Factory in North Concourse, Bliss in South Concourse.)

Personal Transportation for Hospital Visits

Whether you are young, or elderly, in shape or out of shape, keeping in good health may mean having to see a doctor once in a while and/or having a medical procedure done at some point. Let us know the next time you are in need of transportation to and from the hospital or clinic.

Elite Express’ fleet consists mainly of luxury-type vehicles, but we also have economy vehicles that can help you get you to and fro at an affordable price. Elite Express can even set up correspondence with the hospital or clinic staff to ensure your pickup time is arranged in a timely fashion. This will help to avoid any “wait fees” that can accrue when the driver needs to wait at the pickup location.

If you are having an out-patient procedure done, just  set up a roundtrip with by letting us know the estimated times you will need to be picked up. We will call you doctor’s office or hospital for you during the day to arrange the best pickup time for your return.

If you having an in-patient procedure done, we’ll set it up in the same way, except we will arrive the next day, or whenever you will be ready to leave the hospital.

OUTLET-bound!

Ever wish you could shop at all your favorite retail stores all in one location AND shop at a fraction of the cost?  Southern California’s many outlet shopping malls make this a reality–from Saks Fifth Avenue to Ralph Lauren and Nike, outlet shopping can be a fun and effective way to shop. Take a look at some popular outlets below. Let Elite Express make your outlet dreams come true!

Camarillo Premium Outlets, located north of Los Angeles along the 101 freeway boasts 144 stores is every day of the week.

Citadel Outlet is conveniently located, just 20 minutes southeast of Downtown L.A. With 84 stores it is a popular destination for groups looking for a half day trip.

Ontario Mills Outlet Mall is 40 minutes east of Los Angeles and unlike other outlets, is mostly indoors so you can shop without worrying about the hot temperatures in the San Bernadino County. It houses some 200 stores and even a movie theater.

Trip Idea  – Gather a group of friends who love to shop. Reserve a van or a minicoach based upon the number of passengers and factor in room for shopping bags on the return. By riding together and splitting the bill, you’ll be more able to enjoy the ride with friends, and not break the bank on transportation fees.

Weddings – Tips for Reserving a Vehicle

It’s not too early to book your limousine for a summer wedding! Below are some tips to help you plan a limousine for your special day:

Book ahead! Availability for any vehicle is on a first come, first serve basis. If you have a date set, then it is best to book well in advance to guarantee its availability.

Have an itinerary in mind for the big day. It will help you utilize the hourly charter best if you can outline a schedule for the driver. Your chauffeur can map out the best routes possible.

If you are planning transportation for guests from the hotel to wedding venue, it’s in your best interest to make a plan for stragglers. Guests that are prompt will appreciate arriving to their destination on time.

Make sure to have at least one person available who can make an executive decision on behalf of the wedding couple on the day of the wedding. Brides and grooms are usually not the ideal go-to person as they have a lot on their plate, for obvious reasons. But, a brother, a mother, or a dad of either the bride or groom, can make a great contact person for that day.

Lastly, we recommend signage on any vehicle that you may be using to shuttle guests. Hotels and wedding venues often book multiple weddings on the same day and time. Having a sign (“Groom’s last name + Bride’s last name”) ensures your guests won’t get into the wrong vehicle. (oh yes, its happened.)
